Pixelcom's pit lane control system is composed of a series of devices that can work together or stand alone to ensure maximum safety and compliance with regulations in the pit lane area.
Pit exit lights
Pit exit lights, designed in adherence to established standards, are pivotal for track control. They display information to drivers and ensure their safety when accessing the track with information such as when the track is open or not or if there is traffic. These motorsport pit exit lights can be controlled either locally or remotely from the race control centre.
The traffic warning system can be enhanced by installing a vehicle detection system, which automates the control of the blue lights. These blue lights are used to signal traffic to drivers entering the track. These lights have a comprehensive range of parameters available, allowing for configurations to suit all needs.
Pit in lights
Pit in lights can be installed to inform drivers approaching from the track about the status of the pit zone, whether it is open or closed. These devices can be controlled from race control software to display OFF, red or green.
Acoustic warning system
The acoustic warning system is a safety feature that functions as a vehicle detection system. It activates one or more warning systems placed along the pit lane to notify all the personnel and individuals in this area about an approaching vehicle.
This system serves as a safety measure to alert people and prevent potential accidents. Despite vehicles typically operating at reduced speeds in the pit lane, individuals in the pit lane might be preoccupied or focused on other tasks. In noisy environments, it can be challenging to hear the approach of an oncoming vehicle.
