The Algarve International Circuit is a 4.653 km race circuit located in Portimão, Algarve region, Portugal. The development includes a karting track, off-road track, technology park, five-star hotel, sports complex and apartments.
Throughout its history, the circuit has hosted many prestigious events, including the A1 Grand Prix, Superleague Formula, GP2 Series, World Series by Renault, World Superbike Championship, World Touring Car Championship, Superstars Series, FIA GT Championship, Le Mans Series, International GT Open, and starting from 2020, the World Motorcycling Championship.
Homologated by both the FIM on October 11, 2008, and the FIA, this renowned circuit is known for its dramatic elevation changes. In 2023, the circuit plans to upgrade its lighting system, entrusting Pixelcom with the installation of the FIA/FIM Starting Lights system, among other innovative solutions.
