The exhibition floor at IAAPA Expo Europe 2026 closed yesterday at ExCeL London after three days bringing together professionals from across the leisure and attractions industry. This year’s edition featured more than 870 exhibitors and a record 22,000 m² of exhibition space, making it the largest edition to date.
As active IAAPA members for several years, we at Pixelcom were once again part of the event, joining the industry as IAAPA Europe returned to London four years after its previous edition in the city.
The karting solutions we showcased at IAAPA Expo Europe 2026
Compared with our participation in Barcelona in 2025, this year we brought a selection of solutions to IAAPA London that we particularly wanted to showcase to karting operators and industry professionals.
- The PKC app (Pixelcom Karting Control). It allows track staff to manage different circuit functions directly from their mobile devices while moving around the venue. Operators can start and manage races, control alerts, assign drivers and handle certain speed and safety functions without constantly relying on a fixed control station.
- Electronic safety flags. Digital track signalling designed to communicate each situation instantly, from the chequered flag at the end of a race to yellow and green flags, as well as warnings or penalties for individual drivers.
- Video scoreboards and graphics for TV screens. These displays can show lap times, starting grids, fastest laps, podiums, results and records, making each race more engaging for both drivers and spectators. They can also display advertising between races, creating new sponsorship and communication opportunities within the venue.
The business trend that caught our attention in London
Beyond technology, IAAPA Expo Europe is also an opportunity to identify trends that can directly influence how leisure venues are managed.
One of the areas highlighted at this year’s event was Food & Beverage (F&B). According to IAAPA industry benchmarks, food and beverage operations can account for up to 30–35% of a leisure park’s total revenue.
Although this figure applies to the wider attractions industry and cannot be transferred directly to every karting venue, it highlights an important point for operators: a leisure business does not necessarily have to rely solely on its core activity.
Bars, cafés, food service, merchandise and other additional services can become complementary revenue streams when they are properly integrated into the customer experience.
Technology also plays an important role here. A POS system designed for karting should make it easy to manage these different areas, integrating track, bar and merchandise payments within the same ecosystem instead of relying on completely separate systems.
Three days of karting innovation at IAAPA London
After three intense days at ExCeL London, we would like to thank everyone who visited our stand to discover our solutions, ask questions or simply talk with us about how technology is evolving within the karting industry.
Our presence at IAAPA Expo 2026 in Europe gave us another opportunity to showcase our karting solutions while also hearing first-hand about the needs of operators and professionals from different markets.
If you were unable to visit us in London and would like to learn more about any of these solutions, you can contact Pixelcom and our team will help you find the option that best suits your track.
See you at the next edition of IAAPA Expo Europe!
